About Circlefolks

Rani and Anjuli

Circlefolks is an intergenerational line of women immersed in mystical traditions; trained, certified, and licensed  in numerous modalities; and experienced in holding sacred healing space. Traditions have been handed down from mother to daughter and each woman  has found expression of  the gifts in her own unique way.

Currently, there are two of us with ongoing offerings, Rani George and Anjuli George. We honor the memory of our mother and grandmother, Mercy Metherate, for what she has passed on to us spiritually and the legacy of her amazing work as an artist and meditation teacher.

Her art work graces this site.

Rani George

I have been a spiritual seeker for as long as I can remember. As the child of a pioneering father and a mystical mother I guess this is no surprise!

After my academic training and work as a chemist, I entered the world of energy therapy almost 35 years ago when I started training in homeopathy. Then, my tactile awareness of energy and its movement grew spontaneously out of my meditation practice. In trying to understand this growing sensitivity, I was led to study Reiki, Healing Touch, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.

As a Reiki Master/Teacher I was intuitively led to incorporate various aspects of all these practices in private sessions, classes, and corporate trainings.

I am a Family and Systems Constellations Facilitator. Following a two-year training program with Joanne Lynch-Bachbauer  and ongoing training with numerous masters in the field, I have been offering one-on-one sessions and group facilitation for over 15 years. I have completed organizing and participating in three 7-month trainings with Francesca Mason Boring in 2015, 2017, and 2019.

I am a Meditation Teacher and Group Leader, certified through Svaroopa Vidya Ashram. I have also taken training in yoga therapy.

It is my joy to serve as an End of Life Companion. I have completed a year long program, Companioning the Dying: Opening Fully to Living. I serve as a peer companion for that program and  as a Reiki teacher and mentor for Montgomery Hospice.

For the last 6 years, I have been studying with Thomas Huble and have completed his 3 year Timeless Wisdom Training.

Finally, it is my ongoing personal spiritual practices and explorations which allow for my own deepening and add to my sensitivity and awareness to assist others on their life paths. Ultimately, it is the Divinity within ourselves that we are seeking for and the Love in which we can finally be at peace and be transformed to serve the world.

Licensed Acupuncturist, M.Ac, L.Ac

Katonah Yoga® Instructor, RYT-200 HR

Systems Constellations Facilitator

I first learned about healing from my grandma. She has had an inspiring Ayurvedic, Yogic and contemplative practice for more than 50 years. I’ve also had the absolute privilege of learning from my amazing mother and am so grateful for our collaboration and partnership, especially in our Monthly Yurt Constellations. From my family and education, I have learned an expansive definition of health that encompasses connection to nature, self-awareness and care, the power of community, the honor in being of service, and ongoing and profound relationship with the Divine Source of Life. I am always looking to layer and synthesize healing paradigms, and often find organic exchanges between the following modalities and more.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine:

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Maryland and completed a Master’s of Acupuncture at Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly TAI Sophia). My training focus on Constitutional Five Element Acupuncture from the Worsley Tradition, which offers a powerful approach to addressing the root of dis-ease, in order to bring a person’s systems back into internal harmony and natural rhythms. Treatments are highly individualized and can address imbalances at the Body, Mind, and Spirit Level. Treatments use acupuncture, moxibustion, Asian bodywork, wellness coaching, and dietary therapy to address a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions.

I am now treating patients in the yurt in Rockville, MD on select days and times. To learn more or schedule an appointment, please email anjuligeorge@gmail.com

Constellations:

Since the first time I ever partook in Family Constellations work, I remember thinking “Wow, I hope this is something I never get over.” And I really haven’t. I’ve been lucky enough to have been involved with constellations work for the past seven years and am humbled to now facilitate of this work. I did my first facilitator training with Francesca Mason Boring in 2015, and am currently taking her training a third time. This training covers Family Constellations work as well as applications in Organization and

Nature Constellations

I currently offer constellations work through our Monthly Body Constellations Evenings as well as season 5 Element Constellations workshops.

Yoga

The word “Yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root “Yuj”, which means “to yoke” or “to unite”. My practice of Yoga has been the meeting place for some of the most profound connections and re-connections with in myself and with the Divine. When I honor my body as my primary condition for being here on Earth, things just seem to go more smoothly…

I completed a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training at Thrive Yoga in 2013 and have taught in several studios in the area. I have been blessed to study with many different teachers and have exposure to many different approaches to Yoga. With thanks to Shiva Rea and Marie Garre for teachings on Ayurvedic principles and an Elemental Yoga practice. With thanks to Machelle Lee for sharing her passion for Yin Yoga. With deep thanks to Gaura Vani and Gopi Kinnicutt for generous sharing of the Bhaki Path of devotion and chanting. With ongoing gratitude to my teachers at Katonah Yoga, including founder, Nevine Michaan, and master teachers Ivy Ray and Eva Giorgi.

My teaching is always evolving as I continue to learn and study, and as of now is heavily influenced by Katonah Yoga, which brilliantly synthesizes Daoist Theory, Yogic practice and Sacred Geometry. Katonah Yoga bring these ancient and natural laws to life through the use of metaphor towards exquisite attention, structural soundness, rigorous repetition, and intelligent pattern.
